Linda Kay Romans
Funeral services for Linda Kay Romans, 62, of Clinton, were scheduled for 10 a.m. today (Friday) in the Clinton Indian Community Building (west of Lucky Star Casino), officiated by Rev. Gerald Panana and Rev. Paul Bear Track.
An all-night wake service was held Thursday.
Mrs. Romans died Monday, April 6, 2015, in the Baptist Medical Center at Oklahoma City. She was born Jan. 29, 1953, in Clinton, the daughter of Vernon Romans and Eithel (Nibbs) Romans.
She was raised in Sei-ling and Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from Grantsville High School in Grantsville in 1971. She was married to Emerson Ellis, and she had worked for the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes in the Housing Authority and Clinton Indian Health Center.
Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Inez Hamilton Romans and Ramona Lynn Romans; and a brother, Clifton Romans.
Survivors include a daughter, Laurie Ann Ellis, and her husband, Chabon Warden; three sons, James Clifton Stoneman, Rapid City, S.D., Emerson Ray Ellis Jr. and his wife, Laquita Whiteman, of Clinton, and Redmon Paul Ellis and his wife, Emerald, of Clinton; 13 grandchildren; and a niece and nephew, Robert Dean Franklin and Ramona Dawn Franklin.
Burial was scheduled in the Clinton Indian Cemetery under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
