Marie (Overstreet) Woodward

Chapel services for Marie (Overstreet) Woodward, 85, Arapaho resident, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel, officiated by Patrick Peters.

Mrs. Woodward died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, at the United Methodist Health Care Center in Clinton. She was born March 13, 1929, in Des Moines, Iowa.

She married Fred Keith Woodward on Oct. 10, 1953, in Hammon. They made their first home in Clinton. Mrs. Woodward attended nursing school at the old Oklahoma General Hospital Nursing School and worked for more than 30 years in the Thomas Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1994.

Preceding her in death were her parents; a granddaughter, Jillian Marie Woodward; two sisters, Ann Caffee and Glendora Jett; and three brothers, Lester Burke, Billy Burke and Jimmy Burke.

She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons, John Woodward and his wife, LaDawn, of Clinton, and Richard Woodward, of Arapaho; four grandchildren, Jonathan Woodward, of Clinton, Kenna Marie Wise, of Weatherford, Ricky Woodward and Justin Clements, both of Oklahoma City; and two great-grandchildren, Chaysen Wise and Kyler Wise.
