Mary Ann Bell

Graveside services for former Clinton resident Mary Ann Bell, 82, of Sherman, Texas, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, under the direction of Prater Funeral Home of Hugo, with Welton Stoker from Parkview Church of Christ in Sherman officiating.
Mrs. Bell died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at home after a year long battle with cancer. She was born Sept. 6, 1931, in Hugo, the daughter of John H. Rich and Kathryn Rattan Rich.
She was an alumna of Hugo High School. On Aug. 22, 1949 she married Reed Bell of Grant, Okla., in Rockwall, Texas.
Mr. Bell  was a lab technician for Kimball Oil. She attended Parkview Church of Christ.
Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; and brothers, John H. Rich II, Billy Joe Rich and Charles Rich.
Survivors include her sons, Garmon and his wife, Linda, of Irving, Tex., and Tab and his wife, Dena, of Sherman, Tex.; grandchildren, Jim Bell and his wife, Christina, of Katy, Tex., Valerie Bell Allen of Van Alstyne, Tex., Meagan Anderson and her husband, Shane, of Norman and Macy Bell of Sherman; great-grandchildren Justin Bell of Dallas, Forrest and Farrah Bell of Aiken, S.C., and Nathan, Garrett and Landon Witcher all of Van Alstyne, Tex.; step-grandchildren, Brandy Clark and her husband, Raymond, of Tacoma, Wash., and Matt Harr and his wife, Tiffany, of Krum, Tex., and Darcy Bernard of Sherman; and step-great-grandchildren, Emily and Connor Clark of Tacoma, Wash.
