Myrtle Weber

Funeral services for Myrtle Lawaun Kress Weber, 67, of Arapaho, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church in Clinton with Wendell Folsom and Doyle Kinney officiating.

Mrs. Weber died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at her home in Arapaho.

She was born Feb. 29, 1948, to Edward and Alma (Neal) Kness at Cordell.

On July 18, 1964, she married James Weber in Cordell. They lived in several states while he was in the Air Force before making Arapaho their home.

Mrs. Weber worked at the turkey plant and Kellwood’s in Clinton and at the Robertson factory in Cordell. For 40 years she was a waitress in Clinton, also working for the Clinton Public Schools before being forced to retire due to illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Doug Weber; and three sisters, Jeanie DeSpain, Evelyn Palmer and Shirley Evans.

Mrs. Weber is survived by her husband of the home; son Jimmy Weber, of Arapaho; three daughters, Edie Freelove and husband Forrest, of LaJara, N.M., Gail Lewis of Clinton, and Lisa Reichert of Yukon; two sisters, Dorthay Bebout and husband Larry of Arapaho and Verna Waldon and husband Gale, Oklahoma City; two brothers, Lloyd Kness and wife Cora, Arapaho, and David Kness and wife Janice of Minnesota; and son-in-law Jeff Lewis of Clinton.

Also, brothers-in-law John Evans and Larry Bebout of Arapaho, and Daniel Weber and wife Marybelle of Pennsylvania; three sisters-in-law, Karen Hauser and husband Rand, Edie Livoti and husband Steve, and Vicki Zufall and husband Brian, all of Pennsylvania; two good friends, Trish Kenney and Eva Elliott of Clinton; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services are under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
