Naemi Gossen

Funeral services for Naemi (Bergman) Gossen, 89, lifelong Corn resident, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Corn Mennonite Brethren Church, officiated by Rev. Tim Sandy and Rev Ken Gardner.

Mrs. Gossen died early Tuesday, March 10, 2015, in Corn Heritage Village in Corn. She was born July 14, 1925 to Corenlius Bergman and Anna (Thiessen) Bergman in Colony.

Mrs. Gossen was raised in Corn. She attended Pleasant View School and then transferred to the Corn Bible Academy, where she graduated.

She married Samuel Gossen on Feb. 27, 1947 in Corn, and they made their home southwest of Corn where they farmed, did custom harvesting and ran a dairy.

She was an active member of the Corn Mennonite Brethren Church and served in many areas.

Preceding her in death were her husband in 2007; her parents; and three brothers, including two who were infants, and Paul Bergman.

Survivors include a daughter, Rosanne Schmidt, and her husband, Kevin, of Cordell; four sons, Stanley Gossen, and his wife, Geri, Gary Gossen, and his wife, Norma, all of Cordell, and Alden Gossen, and his wife, Karen, and Melvin Gossen, and his wife, Laura, all of Corn; a sister, Ruth Dick, of Corn; a sister-in-law, Willie Gossen; a brother-in-law, Jacob Gossen; 19 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Burial will conclude in the Corn Mennonite Cemetery, under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
