Nora Lopez
A graveside service for Nora Lopez, 82, former Clinton resident, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, in the Binger Cemetery, in Binger.
Nora died Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2015, at the Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City.
She was born Aug. 26, 1935, to Raz John Harpole and Neomia Irene (Buchanan) Harpole, in Gracemont. She was raised in Binger and graduated from Binger High School in 1954. She married Phillip Lopez Jr. in 1954 in Grandfield. Phillip was in the military and the couple traveled extensively, living in many different locations. They made their homes in Germany, Colorado, Kansas, Georgia, and Fort Sill. She was employed with Western Electric Company and General Motors Company while living in Oklahoma City. The family moved to Clinton in 1990, where the couple retired.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two daughters, Neomia Dawson and Kathie Lopez; a grandson, Ryan Dawson; and two brothers, Bill Harpole and Jimmy Harpole.
She was survived by two daughters, Pat Lopez, of N.M., and Kristy Lopez and partner, John Kolcun, of Yukon; a son, Larry Lopez and wife, Michele, of Oklahoma City; a son-in-law, Scott Dawson, of Shawnee; two sisters, Janie Smith and husband, Doyle, of Arkansas, and Bonnie Catlin and husband, Oscar, of Anadarko.
She is also survived by three grandchildren, Phillip Lopez, Lauren Lopez and Kenzi Lopez; and three great-grandchildren, Jessy Hutchenson, Casey Hutchenson and Cameron Lopez.
Services will be officiated by Doyle Kinney, under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home. The family will greet guests from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home.
