Plez Malone Jr
Funeral services for Plez Malone Jr., 68, Clinton resident, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Custer Avenue Church of Christ, officiated by Robert Malone and Patrick Peters.
Malone died Wednesday, May 21, 2014, near Taloga, following an automobile accident. He was born Aug. 8, 1945 in Tipton, the son of Plez Malone Sr. and Dora A. (Allen) Malone.
Plez was raised and attended school in Tipton. He farmed in Tipton until he married Lillie May Gildon on July 1, 1964 in Tipton.
They made their home in Clinton, where Malone was employed at the Tuberculosis Sanatorium. He later worked for the City of Clinton in the Sanitation Department, drove a cement truck for Dolese and he had cooked for the Holiday Inn in Elk City and T.C.’s in Clinton.
Malone had most recently delivered rural mail to the surrounding communities.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a daughter, Shirley Kay Malone; two sisters, Mae Rogers and Betty Gossier; a granddaughter, Danielle Malone; and a grandson, Damon Malone.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; five sons, Rickey Lee Malone, Willie Malone, Eric Malone, all of Clinton, Nickey Malone and Plez Malone III and his wife, Tammy, all of Weatherford; 13 grandchildren, Terrance Malone, Kimberly Malone, Karissa Malone, Rickey Lee Malone Jr., D.J. Malone, Sierra Malone, Shamar Malone, Darian Malone, Myles Malone, Little Willie Malone II, Danita Malone, Cameron Malone, Mickey Malone Jr., nine great grandchildren, Titan, Jayder, Amyah, Ebaney, Damien, Keyionna, Darie, Deanna and Dana; two brothers, Willie Malone and Robert Malone husband of Annie Malone; two sisters, Doris Dancer, wife of Tom Dancer and Evlyn Faye Abram, wife of Esco Abram.
Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery, under the direction of Stanley-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
