Rose Barbara Noles

Graveside services for Rose Barbara Noles, 80, of Clinton, formerly of Canute, will be at 2 p.m., Monday at the Canute Cemetery.

Mrs. Noles died Wedmesday, March 25, 2015, at her residence in Clinton, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born Sept. 30, 1934 in Rhea, the daughter of John and Rosa (Klein) Wohl.

She married her best friend and sweetheart, J. C. Noles Jr., on Valentine’s Day in 1958 in Roswell, N.M., and he preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 1994.

Mrs. Noles owned and operated a ceramic shop in Canute for 10 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Cecilia “Cissy” Kephart, and her husband, Dean, Melissa “Missy” Schachle, and her husband, Joe, all of Canute; four grandchildren, Jenny Kephart of Guthrie, Amber Visnieski, and her husband, Adam, of Canute, Heather Kephart, of Canute, and Greg Schachle, of Elk City; two great-grandchildren, Paisley Visnieski and Trapper Visnieski, both of Canute; a brother, John Wohl, of Butler; five sisters, Violet Redwine, of Las Vegas, Nev., Lydia Gass, of Lubbock, Texas, Jewel Mathews, of Hinton, Minnie Oaks, of Elk City and Susan Chester. of Clinton.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, John and Rosa Wohl; five brothers; and one sister.

Memorial contributions in her honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. or the American Heart Association in care of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home, 600 W. Country Club Blvd., Elk City, OK 73644.
