Roy Lenval White,

Funeral services for Roy Lenval White, 81, Clinton resident, will be at 2 p.m. today (Saturday) in First Church of God, officiated by Pastor Roy Dobbs.

White died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, in the Integris Clinton Regional Hospital emergency room. He was born Jan. 9, 1933 in Carson, the son of Robert Edward White and Florence (Polson) White.

He attended school in Dustin, McAlester and Hammon before moving to Clinton in 1948, where he graduated from high school in 1953.

He married Juanita June Weil Dec. 21, 1952 in Clinton. White enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1953 and was stationed at Ft. Bragg, N.C. He served until 1955 and was honorably discharged.

White was employed at Burtis Press, Collins and Aikman, Oklahoma Natural Gas and retired from the Clinton Veterans Center in 1995.

Preceding him in death were his parents; an infant daughter, Linda; brothers, Edwin White, Marvin White and his wife, Dorothy, Melvin White and his wife, Mary, James White and his wife, Norma; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Harvey (Pauline) White; sisters, Pauline Martinez and her husband, Eugene, Lucille Kane and her husband, Hosey.

He was a member of the First Church of God. He played guitar and was in a band started when he was in high school, Oklahoma Nightingale’s Country Music Band.

Survivors include his wife of over 61 years, Juanita, of the home; a daughter, Darla Barton and her husband, George, of Clinton; two brothers, Harvey White, of Clinton and Milford White and his wife, Doris, of Alva.

Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery, under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home in Clinton.
