Susan Jordan

   A graveside service for Susan Jordan, 49, former Clinton resident, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery at Bessie, officiated by Dr. Jerry Jordan and Rev. Roland Youngberg.

   Miss Jordan died early Monday, May 12, 2014, in her Clinton home. She was born July 13, 1964, in Clinton.

   She was raised in Clinton and attended Clinton Public Schools.

   Miss Jordan loved to play golf. When in high school she tried out for the men’s golf team and won a position. In 1981 the Clinton Tornadoes went all the way to state and placed third. She also achieved in basketball.

   She continued her education at Oklahoma City University and graduated with a foreign language degree, speaking three foreign languages.

   She moved to Florida for a short time and then to New York and attended culinary school and became a sous chef.

   Miss Jordan served many famous people and movie stars, including Walter Cronkite, Kirk Douglas and Al Pacino while working at Planet Hollywood. She had also cooked for Rudy Giuliani at the New York Governor’s Mansion.

   She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

   Preceding her in death were her biological father, Gordon Stehr; an infant sister, Charlotte Stehr; grandparents, Alfred and Hulda Stehr, Opal Abercrombie and Marshall and Faye Jordan; and an uncle, Charlie Abercrombie.

   Survivors include her parents, John and Judy Jordan of Clinton; two sisters, Jamie Miller and her husband, Louie, of Oklahoma City, and Kim Jordan, Oklahoma City; two brothers, Derek Jordan, Yukon, and Tony Jordan and his wife, Stacey, Midwest City, three nieces, Carley Miller, Ashtyn Jordan and Ryleigh Jordan; an aunt, Dr. Joella Utley, Spartanburg, S.C.; an uncle, Dr. Jerry Jordan and his wife, Gayle, of Woodland Park, Colo.; and special friends and caregivers, Sherilyn Faulk, Oklahoma City, and  Cindy Box, Clinton.

   The family has suggested those wanting to give a memorial contribution may do so to the Shepherd Home Health and Hospice, 525 S. 30th St., Clinton, OK 73601 or Clinton’s First United Methodist Church.

   The family will greet guests and friends at the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home from 5 until 7 p.m. today (Wednesday).
