Trinidad “Sonny” Saucedo Jr.

Funeral services for longtime former Clinton resident Trinidad “Sonny” Saucedo Jr., 75, of Gallup, N.M., will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Gallup with Rev. Abel Olivas officiating.

A rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Francis of Assisi.

Saucedo died June 4, 2015, in Gallup. He was born March 15, 1940, in Gallup.

Saucedo attended Washington Elementary, Gallup Junior High School, Gallup High School, the University of Maryland, Louisiana State Tech University and the University of South Carolina.

He served 22 years in the Air Force and retired in 1979.

Saucedo managed the Clinton Social Security office for a number of years. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club here.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria Saucedo, of Gallup; sons, Robert Saucedo of Bossier City, La., Trinidad “Bobo” Saucedo of Gallup, Rick Mikel of Frisco, Texas, and Ryan Mikel of Hurst, Texas; daughters, Mary Bessinger of Dallas, Texas, Carol Brewster of Ridgecrest, Calif., Linda Sparks of Sterling City, Texas, and Rochelle Deno of Milford, Texas; a brother, Tommy Saucedo of Bluewater, N.M.; sisters, MaryAnn Tafoya of Gallup, Marci Guerrero of Gallup, Josie Garcia of Gallup and Rosemary Greigo of Gallup; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his father, Trinidad Saucedo Sr.; mother, Mary R. Saucedo; a sister, Stella Saucedo; and a brother, Billy Saucedo.

The family will meet at noon Friday, June 12, at the Veterans Hall, Second and Maloney in Gallup.

The family suggests donations in Saucedo’s honor may be made to the St. Francis Building Fund or to the Gallup Cancer Center.

Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery at Gallup.
