Virginia Patricia Rice

A chapel service for Virginia Patricia Rice, 79, former Clinton resident, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home, Clinton, officiated by Rev. Roy Dobbs.
Mrs. Rice died Friday, Nov. 15, 2013, in Oklahoma City. She was born Jan. 16, 1934, to Robert and Pearl (Miller) Jelinek in Arapaho.
She was raised on the family farm northeast of Arapaho and attended Arapaho School, graduating in 1952. She married Robert Neely, and they made their home in Clinton.
Mrs. Rice had worked as a nurse’s aide in the Corn Nursing Home and the Methodist Health Care Center.  She moved to Del City in 2003 to be close to family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Edward Charles “The King” Jelinek and Lee Jelinek.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Maupin; two granddaughters, Kathy Monholland and her husband, Harold, and Wanda Tyler and her husband, Chris; and five great-grandchildren, Robert, Christy, Allie, Alex and Lee, all of Del City.
Burial will conclude in the Mound Valley Cemetery at Thomas.
