Attendance rises at new ‘Meet the Players’

This year’s ‘Meet the Players’ held Wednesday at the Tornado Bowl. brought more fans with the inclusion of all fall sports and the time change to a later evening.
In past years, people had said it was too hot and only included football. This year, the event attracted more of the community to participate. Dusty Ballard, football booster club co-president, said the later time had a lot to do with higher attendance.
“First of all, everybody noticed the temperature is so much cooler this late,” he said. “There were a ton of people out including grandparents.”
