Six hurt, one killed on area roads
In between doing good deeds for a stranded Indiana family (see story at bottom of this page), members of Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troop H investigated two injury accidents over the weekend.
Their brethren in Troop M at Altus investigated one fatality accident involving a motorcycle. It occurred a half mile south of Cooperton in Kiowa County and took the life of a Lawton man.
The first of the injury mishaps occurred at 2:58 p.m. Saturday in Clinton on Interstate 40 near the Glenn Smith Road overpass. Five people from Henderson, Nev., were hospitalized, three of them in Clinton with the other two taken to hospitals in Oklahoma City. Two other people, including the driver, also from Henderson, were not injured.
