Thomas police nab suspect after pursuit

Thomas police recovered a stolen pickup Wednesday and took the driver into custody after he allegedly tried to escape them at a speed of approximately 100 miles per hour just east of town.
Chief Larry Taylor said the suspect drove through town at about 65 mph and managed to avoid a train that was blocking the road in front of him by driving around it and jumping the railroad tracks.
