Members of the Clinton Fire Department will be at the intersection at Sixth and Gary out in front of the old fire station all day Friday in their annual drive to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Clinton Fire Chief Randy Carpenter said.
The drive will continue until 12 noon Saturday. More than 29 members of the Clinton Fire Department will be participating in this year’s drive. Those coming into Clinton from the north or south may take a two-block detour west on Gary to contribute in the drive.
Funds raised through the 2014 Clinton Fill the Boot event will help support MDA’s programs of worldwide research, specialized health care services, and day-to-day support.
