Juanita Hill
Funeral services will be held for Juanita Delpha (Martin) Hill, 87, of Rocky, at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 15, in the First Baptist Church in Cordell. She died Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City.
Mrs. Hill was born Jan. 3, 1929, to Albert and Eula L. (Lee) Martin, in Port. She was raised in Port as a young girl, and at the age of 14 moved to Rocky with her family. She attended Rocky School and graduated high school in 1946. In 1948 she married Harold Cleve Hill, in Vernon, Texas. The couple made their home in Rocky. Mrs. Hill was a longtime active and faithful member of the Baptist Church and the ladies auxiliary, and taught Sunday school for more than 40 years. At the time of her death she was attending the First Baptist Church in Cordell.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Dearnold Martin and Roy Martin; seven sisters, Audrey Martin, U.V. Roach, Aileen Boyd, Fern Friend, Ivy Martin, Pat Cook and Edwina Martin.
She is survived by her husband, of the home; one daughter, Sherrie Spradlin and husband, Ralph, Cordell; two sons, Randall Hill and wife, Nancy, Blanchard, and Dennis Hill and wife, Renee, Clinton; a sister, Wanda Wyatt, Duncanville, Texas; a brother, Albert “Henry” Martin, El Paso, Texas; seven grandchildren, Jodi Holland and husband, Tim, Stillwater, Paige Hill, Edmond, Beau Hill, Los Angeles, Calif., Megan Stair and husband, Brad, Oklahoma City, Sarah Hill, Stillwater, Skylar Spradlin and wife, Jamie, Weatherford, and Kendi Spradlin, Weatherford; and three great-grandchildren, Stephanie Hill, Jackson Holland and Luke Holland.
Services will be officiated by Mrs. Hill’s grandson, Rev. Skylar Spradlin, and Rev. Marvin Kehl. Interment will follow at Lone Star Cemetery in Rocky, under the direction of Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
