CORDELL – The body of a young man from Florida bicycling across the country was found 176 feet west and 10 feet north of where evidence indicated it was hit by an automobile just over a year ago, an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper testified here Monday.
Trooper Jared Boese testified as the leadoff witness in a preliminary hearing for Sarah Morris, 35, of Cordell. She is charged with first-degree manslaughter in the death of Patrick Wanninkof, 25, of Key Biscayne, Fla.
Ms. Morris also is charged with a misdemeanor, overtaking a bicycle, for hitting another bike in the same troupe. It was ridden by Bridget Anderson, then 22, of Port Orange, Fla., who was seriously injured.
