EMS pact will be negotiated with Sinor

It appears Clinton’s ambulance service will continue to be provided by locally based Sinor Emergency Medical Service.
After listening to presentations by SEMS and two other EMS companies, the Clinton City Council Tuesday night authorized City Manager Mark Skiles to negotiate a new contract with the local firm. Skiles said it would have to be brought to the council for final approval.
As proposed by SEMS Vice-President Johnny Red at Tuesday’s council meeting, the new pact would be for one year beginning Oct. 1, 2016, with automatic renewals for three successive one-year intervals on the anniversary date unless either party gives notice of its intention to terminate the pact at least 120 days before expiration.
