Ginny Schilberg

Funeral services for Virginia Lea “Ginny” Schilberg, 78, of Clinton will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church. 
She died Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017, at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City.  
Schliberg was born Sept. 29, 1938, to Roy Slyter and Marie Hannah Slyter in Omaha, Neb., where she was raised and attended school.
She enlisted in the U.S. Air Force for a short stint. In the early 1960s she moved to Clinton, where she found employment at the OK Turkey Plant. She then worked at Oklahoma General Hospital as an x-ray technician. When she started her family, she became a stay at home mom. After her children started school she began an 18-year career at Clinton High School, retiring in 1997.
Schilberg was a member of the First Christian Church. She loved to play golf, attend her grandchildren’s activities and was an avid fan of Clinton football.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jack Slyter; and a sister, Carolyn Youts.
Survivors include her husband, Paul, of the home; two daughters, Kristy Schilberg-Van Allen of Clinton and Kanda Ramos and husband, Miguel Saracho, of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren, Luis Paul Ramos, Tony Ramos, Jacob Ramos, Braidon Van Allen and Aryana Pugh; and several nieces and nephews.  
The service will be officiated by Doyle Kinney and Willie Coop. Burial will be at Union Hatchett Cemetery near Bessie under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.
