Maxine Harris

Memorial services for Custer City native Maxine Harris, 91, Dallas, Texas, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Kiesau Memorial Chapel of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home, 2500 W. Modelle Ave., Clinton.
Mrs. Harris died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, in Dallas.
She was born in Custer City Nov. 5, 1922, the daughter of Mattie and Ralph Hutchison.
She graduated from Putnam High School and spent most of her adult life in Houston, Texas. She and her husband, Maynard Harris, then retired to Canyon Lake, Texas.
After her husband’s death, she lived with her daughter, Sue, in Miami, Fla., for several years before returning to Clinton to be near her sisters. After a lengthy stay in assisted living, she moved in with a daughter, Jeanie, in Dallas.
Preceding her in death was a sister, Creola Cline Edmonds.
Survivors include daughters, Jeanie Edens of Dallas, Texas, and Sue Walsh and her husband, Rich, of Miami, Fla.; a stepson, Bob Harris and his wife, Dottie, of Goodyear, Ariz.; a step-daughter, JoAnn Collins; sisters, Lila Kluver of Clinton and Darlene Pilgrim and her husband, Pat. of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Tammy Farr, Terri Farr Kammerer and her husband, Ken, Michael Walsh, Paul Walsh and his wife, Taryn; great grandchildren, including Kara Nicole Kammerer, Hayla Ruth Walsh and Zachary Bruce Walsh; nieces and nephews, Curtis Cline, Linda Beth Butcher, Leslie Dick, Marshall Delk and Kevin Merrill; and several grand nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Cody’s Friends Rescue, 6501 Clearhaven Circle, Dallas TX 75248.
