The 2016-2017 school year officially begins today, and Clinton Public Schools Superintendent Kevin Hime said students and teachers alike are enthusiastic about their first day.
Hime said renovations at the high school are completed and that beginning tomorrow, the new security gate will be locked right after classes start at 8 a.m. each morning.
The gate is intended to control the flow of traffic in and out of the campus during the school day, and the gate will remain locked until school ends for the day, around 3 p.m.
