Two of six Foss victims identified

Autopsies have been completed on all six sets of human remains found last September in two submerged cars at Foss Reservoir, and one victim from each car has been positively identified using DNA.

Those identified are Jimmy Williams, the 16-year-old owner of a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro that is believed to have plunged into the lake the night of Nov. 20, 1970, and Cleburn Hammack, 42, whose remains were pulled from a possible 1953 Chevrolet sedan that disappeared April 8, 1969.

The older car is believed to have been underwater for more than 44 years and the Camaro for over 42 years when they were found just out from the main boat ramp on the south side of the lake.
