Easements for the north-south portion of the pipeline connecting the Canute water wells to the Clinton Lake water treatment plant will cover three miles and cost $60,000. Once the pipeline turns east, it will follow state-owned right-of-way to near the water plant.

Clinton firemen and paramedics were busy helping people over the weekend too. These photos were taken at the scene of a one-vehicle accident Saturday afternoon on I-40. Helping get victim Evan Warden into a helicopter, above, are an Air Evac flight nurse and medic Tammy James, center.
