Canute water easements acquired

Water from Canute is just a little bit closer to dripping from Clinton faucets following action at a special City Council meeting Tuesday evening.
By a 4-0 vote, the Clinton council approved purchases of easements from six Canute-area landowners that were needed for a pipeline to help get the water to Lake Clinton. Once there, it will be processed through the Lake Clinton water treatment plant and put in the city’s big 24-inch pipeline for movement to town.
