Parents can get a break on their back-to-school shopping this weekend when Clinton takes part in the state’s sales tax holiday. General clothing items will be sales tax-exempt Friday, Saturday and Sunday on purchases up to $100.
Clinton Chamber of Commerce president Julie Menge hopes that anyone shopping for clothes and shoes this weekend will spend locally.
“Our small businesses support the community by helping Clinton schools,” said Menge. “Their donations support many organizations here. Let’s support them, and keep Clinton growing.”
