Clinton softball (1-8 overall) managed to make Thursday’s 13-6 home loss to Weatherford (6-4 overall) a game through the first four innings of play.
Head coach Lisa Moss said the team is steadily improving. She saw some notable improvements at the plate.
“Overall, I think the girls are playing much better,” she said. “They are playing for each other. One good thing, we are focusing on going with the pitch. If they throw you outside, go with the pitch and hit it to right field. If you they throw you inside, go with the pitch and hit it left field. Today, they went with the pitch. No one chased balls, they were disciplined at the plate.”
