Inaugural 100-inning game is successful

The first Clinton softball 100-inning game turned out to be a major community and financial success for the program Saturday.
The event raised more than $3,000 for the softball team. This money will be used for pink jerseys, which were purchased by the booster club. It also will be used for individual bat bags and more bats for the team.
“What this money will do, is replace the money we spent,” coach Lisa Moss said. “It’ll buy every girl in the softball program a T-shirt. It also buys them meals and anything we might need throughout the season.”
Parents, players and faculty from Clinton High School showed up to give their support. In all, Moss was happy with the turnout from the crowd.
